Christopher Thompson
Founder & Principal
Chris wrote his first computer code at 15, and he has been leveraging technology and his love of numbers ever since. He founded Archer on a simple belief: great business results start with accurate and timely information compiled efficiently through expertise and technology working together.
That expertise spans three decades in tax and finance. In his 30 years of experience in finance, Chris spent nine years as an international tax consultant with Ernst & Young, then 16 years leading tax teams at Cooper Industries, Cameron International and Schlumberger, where he oversaw global tax planning and compliance, operating in more than 100 countries. Along the way, he negotiated directly with the IRS and tax authorities around the world, leading teams in Houston, Brazil, London, Singapore, Romania, and beyond.
His love of technology shows up in the results. For example, at Schlumberger, Chris rebuilt the global tax provision process and cut the monthly close from weeks to a few hours. In 2020 he brought that same approach to Archer, creating a financial shared services team in Romania and Puerto Rico that brings big-company accounting and financial analysis to small businesses with the speed and efficiency that the latest technology makes possible.
Andrada Voicu
Finance Director
Andrada leads Archer's accounting team, overseeing accounting, tax, financial reporting, and financial analysis for a diverse portfolio of clients, including investment funds and real estate entities. She works closely with clients and external auditors on year-end engagements, including fair value audit support for investment companies under ASC 946 and ASC 820.
Prior to joining Archer, she worked as an Assistant Tax Manager at Schlumberger, leading tax provision processes across North and South America and supporting senior leadership with tax accounting, effective tax rate analysis, and global tax initiatives.
Under her leadership, Archer is expanding its project accounting capabilities, providing clients with project-level cost tracking, reporting, and financial insight. Andrada sets the team’s review and quality standards and serves as a key client contact, bringing a hands-on approach to delivering accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting.
